#1 The Horse Race
The company sets a specific number of trip seats in each division. Top performers fill fixed amount of seats at the end of the contest period.
#2 Top Percent Club
The Top Percent Club is a straightforward contest where the top "x" percent of all participants qualify once the contest concludes. For example: out of 500 participants, the top 50 people qualify for the trip.
#3 Set the Bar
Based on a contestants previous 6-month performance, management sets a specific percentage increase for the contest period, typically around 10 percent. The goal of this percentage increase is to allow 5 - 10 percent of participants to qualify for the incentive trip.
#4 New Account
This contest looks only at new account sales. The company may elect to set a target goal based on points or a predetermined number of top achievers selected to go.
#5 New Account Lottery
For each new account opened above a set amount each contestant earns one entry into the new account lottery held at the conclusion of the contest period. This incentivizes lower tier participants and gives them a chance to qualify throughout the entire program.
#6 Up Selling Current Clients
Based on current clients only, points or dollars only count for up selling.
#7 Office vs. Office
In larger corporations, contests may be set up between divisions, departments or offices where winners qualify for the trip.
#8 Peer Nomination
Each participant may nominate any sales or non-sales personnel that best exemplifies outstanding performance. This recognition gives incentive for the entire organization to increase performance.
#9 Performance Points
