Voyager Space Frontiers
As a child, we sat glued to the TV as Mercury Astronauts sat atop rockets with a less than perfect launch record and were blasted into space on sub-orbital flights lasting 15 minutes. The first private citizens have already flown into space, but at great cost. The Russian space program accepts private individuals with the financial resources to fly aboard a Soyuz spacecraft and visit the International Space Station.
So what is the draw? Why go into space? Voyager Worldwide staff has spent time with astronauts and there is magic in not so much what they say, but what they feel about seeing our home from orbit. It is a life-changing experience. Over and over, that feeling of awe and humility comes through as you talk with them. The power and allure of floating effortlessly 200 miles above our planet has a special draw. We are here to not just make it happen, but to give this enterprise all the majesty and importance it deserves so that you will be able to process this. Keep in mind that you will have virtually no one else to relate this experience to once back on earth unless you bump into Neil Armstrong or Story Musgrave. For over 20 years, members of our staff have worked with NASA in communicating the exhilaration and magic of human spaceflight.
From the moment you decide to fly, we are there to share in that excitement, plan every detail and help put it into perspective. Not only is spaceflight available to private individuals, you have a choice of flying to orbit for a stay aboard the ISS or soar on a sub-orbital flight beginning in 2008 here in the US. Space is at long last a destination that Voyager Worldwide can bring to those with the desire and means to go.
